It’s astounding to think about how divided and unhappy much of our world is today. For example, a recent poll conducted by the news outlet CNN showed that about 69% of respondents said things were going “pretty badly” in the United States. Extrapolating those results across the entire country means that hundreds of millions of people are dissatisfied by the state of things.

People fight about politics, beliefs, and just about everything else, on social media, at work, and even at home. In fact, it’s hard to find any topic that isn’t “triggering” in some way to one part of the population or another.

While it would be impossible to assign blame for humanity’s general disillusionment on any one factor, it seems pretty clear to me that much of the world’s difficulties trace their roots back to flaws in how humanity has created and uses its money.
