Letter #171: You Deserve Your Money - Part 1

Read now to learn how any limitation on your ability to access your money, is in reality a limitation on how you use your time.

Dear Readers,

Time is our most valuable resource. It’s also our most scarce resource. Each person on earth has an amount of time specific to them. Nothing more, nothing less.

Each of us spends our time however we want. But no matter how we choose to spend our time, our time is still ours. And no one should be able to take it away from us. Unfortunately, we live in a world where our time is taken from us everyday. But perhaps not in the way you think.

To a large degree, our societies have decided to use money as a representation of our time. By producing goods and offering services, we trade our time for money in order to afford the things we need to stay healthy and happy. So, in short, if our money represents our time, then the theft of our money represents the literal theft of our time.

It’s for that reason that I spend so much time railing against fiat currencies and against inflation, one of their most permanent features. But inflation is far from the only way for governments and banks to steal our money and time.
